18th Edition course: full 2382-26 course or the Amendment 4 update
Updated
An 18th Edition course prepares you for the City & Guilds Level 3 Award in the Requirements for Electrical Installations, BS 7671. Since Amendment 4 the qualification is 2382-26: take the full course if you hold no 2382 certificate, or the one-day update if you hold 2382-22 or 2382-18.
What changed in 2026
EAL, the awarding body, said in January 2026 that Amendment 4 (2026) to BS 7671:2018 would be published on 15 April 2026 and that it would launch a replacement Level 3 award for registrations from April 2026. Course providers now sell the City & Guilds 2382-26 qualification for BS 7671:2018+A4:2026.
